The Candidates Tournament is the second-most important event in the World of Chess after the World Chess Championship. The FIDE Candidates and FIDE Women's Candidates will take place from 29th March-15th April at Cyprus. 8 players in Open, and 8 players in the Women event will play a classical double-robin tournament - the winners challenge D Gukesh and Ju Wenjun respectively for the World Championship match.
