Is Jonathan Leaving GodLike? BGIS 2026 Rumors Explained
For the past two days, the BGMI esports community has been discussing one big question: Is Jonathan leaving GodLike Esports?
The speculation started during the BGIS 2026 Survival Stage when Jonathan was missing from the GodLike lineup on Day 1. Later, he was also seen leaving the Hyderabad venue, which further fueled rumors across social media.
Many fans assumed that Jonathan had either been dropped from the team or was leaving the organization.
However, the information available so far suggests that this may not be the case.
GodLike Esports co-owner Amar addressed the rumors on March 17, stating that the claims circulating online are baseless and do not reflect reality. He also mentioned that when the right time comes, either Amar, Kronten, or Jonathan himself will properly explain the situation.
Interestingly, Amar also said that the organization still dreams of winning an official trophy with Jonathan, which indicates that the player is still considered an important part of the team.
There was also confusion regarding Jonathan’s absence from the lineup.
After the matches, GodLike captain Manya clarified that the decision to bench Jonathan was strategic, not due to any internal conflict. In tournaments like BGIS, teams sometimes make tactical lineup changes depending on match situations.
On Day 1 of the Survival Stage, GodLike played with Manya, Admino, Spower, and Godz, and the team actually performed very well, finishing the day at the top of the standings.
Another reason behind the rumors was Jonathan leaving the Sandhya Convention Center in Hyderabad. Reports suggest that he traveled to Mumbai for a scheduled shoot, which likely had been planned earlier as part of brand commitments.
Considering the available information:
• Amar has called the rumors baseless
• Manya explained the benching as a strategic decision
• Jonathan’s travel appears to be related to a pre-scheduled shoot
All these points suggest that Jonathan leaving GodLike is not confirmed.
With the BGIS 2026 Grand Finals scheduled from March 27–29 in Chennai, there is still enough time for roster adjustments, and Jonathan could potentially return to the lineup before the finals.
