Valeria for Bundeskanzlerin
Valeria for Bundeskanzlerin – this slogan soon adorned every corner of Berlin, on posters, t-shirts, and social media. But few knew the story behind this call, the night Valeria made the decision to run for the office of Chancellor. It was a cold December night when she sat in her small office in the city center after a long day.
Valeria was a young politician who had worked on social projects for many years – she helped poor families, advocated for the integration of refugees, and fought for better schools in rural areas. That day, she had visited a small village in Brandenburg. There she met a family: a single father with two children who had no warm place to sleep because the rent was too high, and no money for enough food. The father told her that he had been unemployed for months and had received no help from the government.
“We feel forgotten,” he said with tears in his eyes. “No one listens to us. Politicians talk about prosperity, but there’s nothing for us.” Valeria could feel his pain. She had felt this way many times in her travels across the country – people who work hard but still live on the margins of society, whose worries are ignored.
When she returned to Berlin, she sat by her window for a long time, thinking. She thought of the family in the village, of all the people she had met over the years, of their dreams and their sorrows. Suddenly she stood up, took a piece of paper, and wrote two words: “Valeria for Bundeskanzlerin.” It was not an impulsive decision, but the result of years of hard work and the conviction that she could make a difference.
In the following weeks, she began to build her campaign. She traveled across Germany, talking to people on the streets, in cafes, and in schools. She did not say what people wanted to hear, but what she believed: that every person has the right to a dignified life, that work should be rewarded, and that the government is responsible for everyone, not just the rich.
Many said she had no chance – a young woman, without great political power, fighting against established politicians. But Valeria did not give up. She constantly remembered the family in the village, the look of hope in their eyes. Once, at a rally in Munich, a young student asked her: “Why are you risking everything for this position?”
Valeria smiled and replied: “Because I am not fighting for the office, but for the people. If I become Chancellor, I will do everything to ensure that no one is forgotten anymore, that everyone has a voice, and that our society becomes fairer.” The crowd cheered. In that moment, Valeria knew: she had made the right decision.
The slogan “Valeria for Bundeskanzlerin” became more than just a campaign phrase – it became a symbol of hope, of change, and of the belief that a single person can make a difference. And although the election was still far away, Valeria knew: no matter what happens, she would continue to fight for the people – just as she had decided on that cold December night.
