Liquid Metal (Special Effects) Stairs - From The Film "Flight of the Navigator" (1986)!
A lot of fans are praising Jim Cameron (Avatar, Terminator) for introducing Liquid Metal (Special Effects) on the big screen in Terminator 2 (1991), with the T-1000 Terminator (Robert Patrick). I am praising Jim too, don't get me wrong. I am a huge Terminator 1, 2 & 3 fan. But the fact is that Walt Disney and Viking Film A/S etc. used the special effect as early as in 1986. I am guessing the special effects was made by Fantasy II? Anyway, In this short clip you can see the liquid space ship stairs :)
The clip was recorded off my TV-screen with my cell. Not the best quality. Sorry.
