Voting for assembly elections is underway today in Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry. In Assam, a fierce contest is unfolding between the BJP and the Congress across 126 seats. Kerala's 140 seats are witnessing a triangular fight, with the BJP emerging as a contender alongside the LDF and UDF. A tough battle is also playing out in Puducherry between the NDA and the Congress alliance.

Amidst the voting in these three states, PM Modi is holding a whirlwind series of three rallies in Bengal today. The Prime Minister will kick off his campaign at 9:30 AM from Haldia in East Medinipur; subsequently, he will appeal for votes for the BJP in Asansol and Birbhum as well.

Despite the announcement of a ceasefire, Israel has carried out bombing raids on several cities in Lebanon—including Beirut. More than 250 people have lost their lives within the last 24 hours, leaving signs of devastation everywhere. Netanyahu has stated that Hezbollah is not a party to the ceasefire and that the attacks will cease only after the group has been dismantled.
