There is a secret way to play Close Air Support in War Thunder, and it is Far out (pun intended). By taking the AV-8B Harrier and using its VTOL capabilities, you can hover 5 kilometers directly above the enemy spawn. Because you are sitting perfectly still in the stratosphere, you are completely invisible to radar and you're completely out of range them hearing your engines. In today's War Thunder gameplay, I abuse this hilarious War Thunder CAS strategy to become an orbital strike platform, raining down laser-guided bombs on top-tier tanks that have absolutely no idea I am there.
